The BIM4Education project team at the University of Patras, Greece

BIM Us to Greece

We had our second transnational meeting for our Transversal BIM for Higher Education project in Patras, Greece, from 19 to 20 October 2022. The Erasmus+ funded project focuses on how we can use BIM principles to develop curricula for higher education institutions across all disciplines, not just technical ones.

The meeting was hosted by our partner, the University of Patras, on one of their campuses. During the meeting, partners who came to Greece collaborated with others online on a series of matters important to the project.

These included:

  • an international report on BIM knowledge in higher education institutions
  • the design and development of BIM inclusion strategies in university curricula, and
  • designing transversal BIM courses

Warnborough College is the project manager, and is in charge of designing the transversal BIM courses for both university professors and students.

It was a wonderful opportunity for partners to catch up in person after all the problems caused by COVID-19. Patras is a very beautiful city by the sea, and the delicious food brought all partners to the table.

We look forward to our final transnational meeting in Poland in 2023.
